By God's abundant Grace, Operation Nehemiah has been steadfast in our commitment to stay the course in ministering the good news to the people of South Sudan, a nation stricken by various trials and tribulations. Upon getting back here, it is amazing to hear different degrees of advice, concerns, and worry that some well- meaning family and friends have for us when it comes to our calling to the South Sudan! It is not surprising, as many of the media reports on South Sudan focus on how dangerous and irresponsible it is to be there. Honestly, most of the concern is exactly misplaced, it just begs the question: which is better? To be safe in the Hand of God, trusting Him with our family where He wants our to be to fulfill his calling in our lives or being "safe" in our comfort zone ? Yes, there is a time for not doing something dangerous and being cautious, but the Lord has called us to South Sudan now going for 25 years, and there was nothing we could do but trust Him with our safety both in times of relative peace and war.

Last year today June 12,2016 on Messianic Jewish Calendar of Shavuot ( Pentecost) we moved to Beth Israel Farm House and dedicated this house to the Lord.

This time around, we were there for only 2 months. For this short time that we were on the ground with our brothers and sisters, our faith was strengthened by their testimonies as they purely lived by faith. They don't know whether they will live for another day. They don't know where they will get their next meal at on daily basis. These are people who live their entire lives in South Sudan. They don't have the luxury to chose where to stay, where to go, where to escape. We have at least 25 staff left behind in South Sudan, laboring day and night to advance the Great Commission. They don't have time for running away. It is very hard to forget those brothers and sisters who have given up everything, denying themselves, taking up their Crosses, and following Jesus. Christians are called to suffer and endure hardship. These trials are for our benefit and our faith is strengthened through it. We come out stronger then we were before, and we have more trust in our Savior...They drive us to Christ.

How are Yeshua's followers to fight this spiritual warfare? Very often, believers flee from trials and difficult times. How can we see God's promises come to pass if we constantly are running away from the refineries He puts in our paths? When we think of our brothers and ground staff, their lives remind us of Matthew 10:22: "And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved."

There were so many verses that encouraged us on our trip and that encourage our staff to press on. They are full of the promises of the Lord, and what suffering produces in those who love the Lord:

Romans 5:3-4: "More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope never disappoint."

Galatians 6:9: "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

Philippians 1:6: "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

1 Timothy 4:16: " Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers."

Hebrews 10:36: " For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised."

Hebrews 12:1: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us..."

James 5:11: "Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful."

2 Peter 1:5-7: " For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love."

Revelation 2:2: "I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false."

Psalm 27:1: "The LORD is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid?"

Psalm 105:4: "Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Upon our return from South Sudan on May 1st, 2017, we brought several projects with us that require prayers and financial support to encourage and strengthen the arms of our field staff to press on with the work we have left behind. This support and prayers come through God's people including you who have stood in the gap in holding up the rope.

I want to thank God for many of you who have been steadfastly praying for us, lifting us and our ministry before the Lord, and supporting us when you can. Your labors are not in vain and our staff are encouraged to keep going, knowing that they are in your thoughts and prayers. The Lord does not overlook your labors for the South Sudanese Christians, and He will richly reward you! Many of you will never steep a foot into South Sudan, but you go with us on your knees, and it is priceless to us.

These are completed assignments whose obligations are met.

The Lord has intervened through you to meet the ONM mission’s transportation need for evangelism to supplement the Gospel radio station 97.3 FM. We were expected to raise $68,000 to buy two new land cruisers to meet the need of transportation in the field. But the Lord spared us from that by securing a relatively new Toyota Hilux pickup for $10,000. The Lord provided the money necessary to get a ministry pickup truck that will be used for evangelistic purposes by Operation Nehemiah and the Pastor's Forum! We almost didn't get the vehicle through the connection of UN vehicle acquisition, but in God's providence, we were able to secure the perfect vehicle to meet the ministry's needs! We will use the pickup truck for follow up with new believers, visiting families in need, distribution of necessary supplies such as bibles, discipleship, and street evangelism in Nimule, military and police families etc.

Our entire leadership in the field rejoiced and thank you for this vehicle

The best way to support South Sudanese Pastors, is a long term stability of the family in the midst of a national trial of a people and a country.

One grinding mills has been purchased and put to work to support 20 pastors and their Pastoral families through income generating in Nimule. Local church needs a local support. These pastors have families who need support such as basic support, shelter, food, and clothing. This is very important, while a local body is been raised up to sustain the need of a local church. These are some of the few faithful pastors who have not left south Sudan. Your support for them, will translate into keeping the Christian church strong in South Sudan.

Nimule, South Sudan is gateway town bordering Uganda, is host to over 100,000 people providing an unprecedented Gospel opportunity. The proceeds from the grinding mill project will support their family, and empower their work of evangelism, outreach to military families, and spiritual advisory role in the local government.

Your Prayer and financial support are needed for these remaining project.

Now we have to finish up the well, and thank God, to are close to achieving that goal, but we still have a little ways to go. The Lord will provide.

$10, 000, to complete the well drilled on Mt. Gordon. On April 26, 2017, we drilled a well at our radio compound on Gordon Mountain in Nimule, to provide water and sanitation for our staff members and their families. The well will also help to meet the needs of 100 families in the area who have fled violence and uncertainty in their villages and are temporarily settled in Nimule for protection. As they are waiting for things to improve in their villages, Operation Nehemiah can give them hope by providing them with clean water and the Gospel. The funds will cover a solar pump, and plumbing materials.

1. Piping to cover the cost of PVC materials and labor 1500 ft. from the base of the well to the top of mountain where the compound is - $3,800.

2. Solar DC/AC Transfer switch converter - $3,000 Solar DC/AC Transfer switch converter.

3. Sub Solar Pump - $3,000.

4. Electrical wiring - $1,500. This fund will be used to wire the sub pump to the Solar panels. We have the solar panels. Thank you again for your prayers and support; they do a lot!
