“In my drunken state, you said I am going to be a pastor.” One soul at a time. Luke 15: 4-7
Shalom my fellow co-laborer in the Great Commission. Hope you are starting the year 2022 with optimism of faith in the Living God we serve in Yeshua. Every new year starts with one day and one day is all that we have that goes for our very existence from birth to death, all one day at a time. In Matthew 6: 25-33, Yeshua cautioned us not to worry of tomorrow because today has a lot of trouble of its own and tomorrow will take care of itself. He also instilled confidence in us to look around and see how the Father provides for the birds of the air and cloth the vegetation of the field with unparalleled beauty, how much more can He cares for us, made in His image? Isn’t that so true? Even the Creation of the entire universe, was called out by Elohim in sequence of one day at a time for the next 6 literally days and God rested on the 7th day. We can only see whatever lies ahead by faith. These providential promises from God Almighty ring true and can be depended upon for confidence and reassurance for us believers in Yeshua and specially for us who are managing ONMI activities solemnly by faith.
More than anything this is what I need in 2022.
Pray for me and our field staff as pastors, husband and fathers to not be pulled off the course of his calling and for the Lord to provide opportunity for the leaders of ONMI to fan the flame entrusted to us.
May the leaders of ONMI not be distracted, discouraged or doubtful and thus neglect the spiritual gift You have given them and their families. Give them the tenacity to take great pains to maintain the path You have cleared for them and to be absorbed in the work You have laid before them. (1 Timothy 4:14-15)
“Heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents. Matthe 13: 13” One soul at a time
At the countless times for the past 28 years in operation, we have seen God’s providential hand in saving lives and supplying pressing need in real time. You are part of this providential process God has put in place to help us advance His kingdom in South Sudan and here in the USA and redeem the time.
This is Pastor Charles Kenyi’s Testimony
I want to share a testimony from a young South Sudanese man who sent me a note today of appreciation about a prophetic message and prayer, I prayed over him in the village of Moli-Aduro in 2013. He was utterly drunk and mocking us. Regardless of his situation, I approached him and prayed over him and asked God to raise up a shepherd to minister in this village taken over by alcoholism and vulgarity. It has been 8 years. Forgot the prayer and couldn’t remember Charles Kenyi. But God’s word was planted in his heart at his drunken state of mind that time. God brought someone else to reinforce what I shared with him.
This is Charles Kenyi’s Testimony. He found me on FB and wrote this. “Wow, thank you William, thanks for your prophetic message you spoke in 2013 in Aduro/in Mol-Andru when you visited the village of your birth by the River Liro with your family. In my drunken state, you said I am going to be a future pastor in Moli-Andru. As I drunkard, when you said such a word, I thought you were just crazy. But fortunately, God compelled me after 6 months until today, I have not tasted alcohol. Became a pastor after that time. Working with South Sudan Gospel Mission Church and a student in theological university of Kumi University in Uganda for theology. In 2013, We demanded that you bring development to our village, but you said, you brought in Jesus first to change life and He is sufficient. We scoffed at you, but you are right.”
This is the kind of testimonies through your support propelling us to carry on with the Gospel Message that transform lives for Yeshua in South Sudan. In 2013, we left Moli Andru discouraged and thinking, we did not do enough to reach out to the people because the needs were overwhelming, and people were hostile to the Good News. Fast forward, to 2016 adding injuries to our experience there, the entire village fled to the refugee camps in Ugandan where they were going to carry on more of the same lifestyles of destructive forces they left behind. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Matthew 13:13. This is exactly what happened with Charles Kenyi. Glory to God.
From the Spiritual and physical viewpoints, the year 2021 is now behind us even though as challenging as it was, God has stretched our faith through those challenges. South Sudanese are back in the country from exile to stay. That was the biggest highlight of 2021. Your monetary support and encouragement to ONMI in 2021 has strengthened our arms and pushed us forward into 2022. The Bethlehem Primary School Construction project is no longer a dream, but it has turned into reality in part because of your support. Not all your support when on the building some part of that money went for agriculture to e create food security, church planting and radio Gospel broadcasting. The Education of these children and their spiritual discipleship have added to the building blocks to strengthen and stabilize the South Sudan’s Revitalized Peace agreement of Government of National Unity.
Request for prayer as this is urgent but all to God in prayer: ONMI needs $60,000 as the project progresses to its final phase. ONMI is racing against time to get the building ready by this February. We are hoping that you can push ONMI through this final process to raise the remaining fund to bring at least this one building project to a completion by the end of January and early February.
Cost analysis to bring the project to a close: $60,000. Total budget (Mission budget for January 2022 is $90,000.
