Merry Christmas, Blessed Chanukah and Prosperous year 2025
Merry Christmas, Blessed Chanukah and Prosperous year 2025
Shalom to you, brothers and sisters in Yeshua The Messiah, the Lord of lords and the King of kings. From the depths of my heart, on behalf of ONMI and my family, I wish to convey my sincere gratitude and appreciation to you and your family during this time of celebrating both Christmas and Chanukah in the same week and day as we approach the New Year 2025. I thank God for His protection, provision, and for guiding us spiritually, physically, and materially throughout 2024. As we near the end of 2024, Sarah and I pray and hope that 2025 will be a prosperous year for all of us, and that He will continue to watch over us and our families in 2025.
As the Holy Scripture says, the righteous shall live by faith, not by sight. Therefore, we have faith in Yeshua that the trust we place in Him will not disappoint us, and He will watch over, protect, and provide for us throughout 2025, as He declared that His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. His teachings serve as the guiding light for our lives.
I am composing this mission report from South Sudan. I departed from my home in Lanesborough, MA, USA, on December 21st, with the intention of arriving here on December 24th, just before Christmas. However, God's plans differed from mine. I ended up staying two nights at a hotel near the airport in Boston and departed on December 23rd. There were numerous delays, cancellations, and rebookings of flights at Boston International Airport. Despite these challenges, I finally reached South Sudan late on Christmas Day. I spent my Christmas and Chanukah flying over Europe and the African continent, arriving in Entebbe, Uganda, via Paris, London, Nairobi, and Entebbe on Christmas Day. Upon landing in Entebbe, our local team picked me up from the airport, and we immediately set off on an overland journey to South Sudan. We drove through Uganda all day, arriving at the border by 7 PM. Fortunately, both Ugandan and South Sudanese border security allowed us to cross into South Sudan. We reached our mission headquarters by 9 PM. Praise Be to God.
Highlight of 2024 in our family and ministry
We are grateful to God for bringing about significant changes in our family and ministry in 2024. On December 28th, 2024, Sarah and I were united in marriage at the Nile Beth Israel Messianic Congregation, fulfilling the calling God has given us. We aspire to walk together in holiness as a devout couple, completing the journey He has planned for us both as a family and in our ministry.
Impact of ONMI's Administrative Changes in 2024
Transformative Leadership and Sustainable Advancements at ONMI in 2024
In January 2024, significant changes occurred in ONMI's administration, transitioning from the previous leadership to the current one to foster sustainability. These changes have been highly effective in advancing ONMI towards sustainability, providing essential services for implementing sustainable living in South Sudan with generous support from our friends in the USA. These services include church planting, food security, Gospel radio broadcasting, evangelism outreaches, education services (primary and technical education), clean water, and medical care. With your assistance, we have successfully delivered some of these crucial services to benefit the community, and we express our gratitude to God on your behalf for the blessings you have brought to our family and the ONMI ministry.
ONMI's Financial Needs for Transportation and Construction equipment in 2024 year end.
What is ONMI's financial need as of now at the end of 2024? We need $48,500 to close this year to achieve 2 goals: We need a pickup truck to facilitate transportation between the Farmland of Beth Israel Levi of Akko Mountain to the main road. The pickup will cost ONMI $27,000. God willing we will place the purchase in January from Dubai and the vehicle will be here by he end of January. Our main transportation vehicle broke down in Kampala, Uganda last week when ONMI's country went to pick me up from the Airport. The vehicle is left there awaiting engine repair which needs $3000. Two, the second goal is that we need concreate Mixer truck for construction activities in the ground to help us with sustainable income generation. The feeder road is completely no paved. It created a lot of hurdle for us in our back and forth transportation between the Beth Israel farmland and the Main road. it needs durable and dependable vehicle to help us with the transportation. Our main transportation vehicle Our all our vehicles have been aging with average age of 10 years. They were bought already in used condition. By the Grace of God with your support, we have seen God's hand in supplying ONMI's need in his riches and glory for the past 30 years. We thank God for His tenacious support of ONMI in 2024.
Today is December 30th. We sincerely thank you for financially supporting ONMI throughout 2024 and encourage you to continue giving to ONMI in 2024.
