Mission Report from South Sudan, thank you for your Prayers & support.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua the Messiah, I would like to thank you for your tenacious support for ONMI and for sponsoring my most recent mission trip to South Sudan. As I was leaving the mission field, I left our ground team with this message of encouragement.

USA: The Impact of US Elections on Our Families' Future: A Call to Prayer and Action.

This election is crucial for our family's future. We rely on prayer and God to reveal the destructive Liberal Left agenda embodied by Biden/Harris and now Harris/Walz. Trump's survival from an assassination attempt is seen as a divine sign of his dedication to American freedom, giving the USA a chance to Restore this country back to God. Righteousness exalted a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14: 34

Israel: Urgent Call for Action Against Rising Antisemitism and Prayers for Peace in Yerushalayim

Israeli, since October 7, 202, at War with arch-Islamic Jihadist Enemies that seek her destruction, but God forbid, it won't happened. Recent events have prompted calls for prayers for peace in Yerushalayim as concerns about rising antisemitism intensify. Envoys at a UN workshop highlight a concerning surge in antisemitic incidents since October 7, likening it to a 'tsunami.' The need for vigilance and action to combat this disturbing trend is emphasized. EU coordinator for Jewish life says current situation ‘reminds us of the darkest days of Europe’ as officials cite worldwide surge in anti-Jewish hate crimes

South Sudan: South Sudan's Long-Delayed Election: Economic Decline and Political Strife Threaten Landmark Moment

South Sudan postponed her upcoming election. South Sudan’s long-delayed election will be a landmark moment − but economic decline and political strife put the vote at risk. The country, which won independence in 2011 after a long conflict with Sudan, has not seen an election since. A date has been set for a national vote: Dec. 22, 2024. Yet the timing remains in question, with the United Nations and others doubting whether adequate preparations have been made.

As South Sudan is undergoing political and economic upheaval, the Impactful Leadership of the ONMI Ground Team in South Sudan is rendering the services critically needed to offset the suffering of the ordinary people by establishing sustainable initiatives.

I deeply appreciate the ground leadership team, including Matthew Abuca (Director of the ONMI ground Leadership team), Unzi James JH (Provost of NPI), and medical coordinator Samuel Koma, for their leadership during my successful administrative mission trip to South Sudan with ONMI from August 10 to 31. The trip focused on validating ONMI's 8-month progress following a fundamental administrative change in January 2024 to move towards sustainability.

ONMI's Sustainable Achievements in South Sudan

From the feedback I witnessed and gathered from the ground, ONMI's Director of Ground Operations and various departments under his leadership have made much progress and achieved many achievements towards sustainability initiatives. The ONMI mission has seven active Departments established to alleviate the plight of South Sudanese returning and recovering from the ashes of war and displacements.

I have witnessed strong leadership skills and a commitment to making necessary changes from the Director of Ground Operations to every departmental leadership. In April, we opened a polytechnic vocational training school, and within just four months, every student in various academic disciplines can produce a product from their training fields.

Empowering Students at ONMI's Technical School: A Testament to Success and Support

Just before I left, Rose Auma, a government official who works for the Ministry of Education in Eastern Equatoria State, visited the school. She was impressed to see how the students thrive in learning and building products with their own hands. She said Torit Technical School's students cannot produce products like Nehemiah Polytechnic from their training. Our students' unique achievements have inspired hope for the future and demonstrated the impact of your support.

Empowering Sustainability Initiatives in South Sudan

Here is follow-up feedback from our last conference call to reiterate students' initiative towards sustainability in South Sudan: developing products that can be used anywhere in the world at NPI. Nechemyah Israel Levi, ONMI's International Director for Sustainable Devolvement, brought up a great point and a long-term initiative to strengthen the long-term scope of ONMI's educational initiatives. he truly welcomes the involvement of benefactors Entrepreneurs, and Christian Churches leaders and organizations to embrace the vision of ONMI to invest in this initiative.

Empowering South Sudan's Economy Through Innovative Product Development at the ONMI's Polytechnic Institute.

We envision developing a new product in 2025 to revolutionize South Sudan's economy and offset the current economic disaster that has befallen South Sudan. South Sudan's inflation is now 4500 % and counting. One ($1) is now 4,500 SSP, or 450,000 per evry $100 which was $1 = 3 SSP in 2011. it was only 3% inflation then. Today, our students at JJMPI and NPI in the IT faculty excel in their mastery of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CompTIA A Plus. Within a year, that is, 2024, we will graduate them with a diploma or certification in MS Office and CompTIA A plus. Precedence is always important. It serves as a predicate for further training. I trained as a manufacturing engineer and in computer science, and I was educated in American institutions (NJIT) in New Jersey. I fundamentally believe using Udemy online courses for our online training as the foundation for our students in South Sudan will remain the bedrock to expose them to high-tech American institutions of learning.

Exciting Opportunities Await Interested Students in the Upcoming Academic Year.

But beginning the next academic year 2025, the interested students will move to the next level of product development booth camp based on our last leadership conference call with Nechemyah (IDSI) and Matthew Abuca, Director of the ground Operations in South Suda last week.

Empowering South Sudanese Students Through Innovative Training Program at Nehemiah Polytechnic Institute

We plan to implement a one-year vigorous Booth Camp training program at Nehemiah Polytechnic Institute for our students to specialize in product development, data science, automation, and app building. This initiative aims to empower South Sudanese students to create innovative solutions that can be utilized across America.

Spiritual Leadership: Guiding with Humility and Service

Spiritual growth: To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: 2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

Empowering Food Security Through State-of-the-Art Drip Irrigation Initiative in South Sudan

State-of-the-art Drip Irrigation Initiative at Beth Israel Farmland in South Sudan, spearheaded by ONMI, showcases cutting-edge agricultural technology. Led by our Agricultural coordinator for Food Security, Mr. Emmanuel, and supported by key Leaders, Matthew spiritually, ONMI's Messianic Kehillah Secretary, Pastor Benjamin Madara, ONMI's Director of Ground Operations, Mr. Uzzi James, Provost of NPI, alongside Joseph Drici, Coordinator of Bethlehem Nursery & Primary Academy, and Samuel Koma, ONMI Coordinator for Medical Healthcare and NTC 97.3 Fm Station Manager Mr. Robert Amoko . The project highlights collaboration and dedication both spritiually and physically to create food security and stamp out hunger. The involvement of all ONMI's 7 Departments has been crucial in the successful implementation. Learn more at www.operationsnehemiah.org.

Strategic Financial Planning for a Mission Trip to South Sudan

Before embarking on my last three-week mission trip to South Sudan, scheduled for August 2024, meticulous planning was undertaken to ensure the success of the journey. The financial aspect of the expedition was a critical component that required careful consideration. A comprehensive financial plan was meticulously crafted, outlining a budget of $80,000 to cover all expenses associated with the mission trip.

Overcoming Fundraising Challenges in Summer: Closing the Gap on a $28,000 Deficit

Despite the detailed planning and efforts to secure funding, the reality of fundraising in Summer proved to be challenging. While the initial target was set at $80,000, the total amount raised fell short at $52,000. This shortfall of $28,000 presented a significant obstacle in the execution of the mission trip as planned. The remaining amount is essential to meet the financial obligations and requirements of the mission, particularly in the context of the annual mission fiscal budget that will end on Sept 30th 2024. We need to raise the remaining balance in the next few weeks to catch up on our deficit.

The Critical Need to Close the Funding Gap for Mission Success

As the mission fiscal year date draws near, the urgency of closing this funding gap becomes increasingly apparent. The mission's success and ability to fulfill the intended objectives hinge on securing the necessary financial support. Every dollar contributed plays a crucial role in enabling the mission to proceed smoothly and effectively, ensuring that the impact on the communities in South Sudan is maximized.
