ONMI field vehicles need replacement. UN is auctioning 3 vehicles for $33,000.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua,
Shalom to you in the name above all names, Yeshua the Messiah. I sincerely pray that this news report finds you in good health and high spirits, rooted in the love and grace of Yeshua. Here in South Sudan, we are navigating through a dynamic landscape of challenges and opportunities, and I wanted to take a moment to share our journey with you.
As we stand at the threshold of the end of January 2025, I find myself reflecting on the immense gratitude I hold for you and your family. Your generosity and fervent prayers have been a lifeline for us, propelling our mission forward in profound ways. It is truly a blessing to know that we have such steadfast support from individuals like you who believe in the work we are doing here. We approach this new year with a spirit of optimism and thanksgiving, eager to embrace the possibilities that lie ahead.
Your continued generosity has been instrumental in sustaining our efforts with ONMI in South Sudan. I am currently in the field, actively monitoring our operations alongside our dedicated ground team during this challenging dry season. This period is particularly demanding, as we face monumental challenges every single day. It is often said that we walk by faith and not by sight, and this rings especially true for us now. The needs we encounter are vast, and the obstacles we face are tangible and real. Yet, amidst these trials, we are presented with a remarkable opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of the people here in South Sudan.
One of our most pressing challenges at the moment revolves around transportation. The vehicles that ONMI relies on for our work have aged considerably and are currently in a state of constant disrepair. As a result, we find ourselves spending an inordinate amount of resources on repairs rather than investing in more reliable and relatively newer vehicles. Fortunately, we have the opportunity to purchase three vehicles from the United Nations' pool of vehicles that are currently being auctioned at an affordable price. However, time is of the essence, as we have only seven days to secure these vehicles, which total $33,000. The vehicles in question include a Ford pickup double cabin, a Ford Sprinter van, and a French Renault.
Currently, the vehicles we have parked in our mission compound at the Messiah Ambassadors' House in Kerepi Mututala are in dire straits. Both the Land Cruiser and the dump truck are out of commission, which has significantly hampered our operations. Replacing them with these relatively newer models, made in 2017 and 2016, would greatly enhance our capacity to serve the community effectively.
In addition to addressing our transportation needs, I am pleased to report that we have recently completed a significant project at the Polytechnic Institute. We have successfully brought water to the dormitory, ensuring that students who will be joining their training this March will have access to this essential resource. This development marks a crucial step in enhancing the living conditions for our students and supporting their educational journey.
Furthermore, I am excited to share that at the Beth Israel Farmland, we have just completed the harvesting of grain from the expansive fields that have been diligently tended to over the past several months. This successful harvest represents not only a significant milestone in our agricultural efforts but also serves as a crucial contribution to our overall food security. The grains we have gathered will be instrumental in ensuring that we have a stable supply of nutritious food available for our community, particularly in times when access to fresh produce may be limited. Moreover, this harvest plays a vital role in supporting the local community in numerous ways. By providing locally grown grains, we are not only reducing our reliance on external sources but also promoting sustainable agricultural practices that benefit the environment. The fruits of our labor will help nourish many families within our community, providing them with essential nutrients and fostering a sense of well-being. Additionally, this successful harvest cultivates a sense of hope and resilience among the people we serve. It symbolizes the hard work and dedication of all those involved in the farming process, from the planting of seeds to the careful tending of crops throughout the growing season. The collective effort of our team and the support from community members have culminated in this achievement, reinforcing the bonds that tie us together as a community. As we distribute these grains, we are not just sharing food; we are sharing a message of unity, strength, and the belief that together, we can overcome challenges and build a brighter future for all.

Sarah and I are excited to announce that we are moving to the picturesque Beth Israel farmland as we wrap up the extensive work we have been undertaking during renovation month. This transition to the farmland represents not just a change of scenery, but also a significant step towards realizing our dream of creating a sustainable and thriving living space. The beauty of the farmland, with its sprawling fields and vibrant natural surroundings, offers us the perfect backdrop for our new life. However, as we approach the final stages of this ambitious renovation program, we find ourselves in need of additional financial support. Specifically, we still require $4,000 to complete the renovation program, which will cover essential costs such as materials, labor, and various upgrades that are crucial for making the space livable and functional. This funding will play a vital role in helping us achieve our vision for the property, allowing us to transform it into a welcoming home that reflects our values and aspirations. We are hopeful that with some additional resources, we can finalize the renovations and fully embrace this new chapter in our lives.
As we move forward, I am reminded of the importance of community, faith, and the unwavering support from friends like you. Together, we can continue to make a meaningful impact in South Sudan, and I am grateful for your partnership in this journey. Thank you for standing with us, and may God bless you abundantly.
Should the Lord lead you to pray and contribute toward these pressing needs, it is important to recognize that the most urgent requirement at this moment is to secure three essential vehicles that will significantly enhance our transportation efforts. These vehicles are not merely modes of transport; they represent a crucial investment in our ability to reach those who are in dire need of assistance. By acquiring these vehicles, we will be able to expand our outreach capabilities, ensuring that we can deliver vital supplies and services to communities that are currently underserved. The impact of this endeavor cannot be overstated, as it will enable us to respond more effectively to emergencies, facilitate outreach programs, and improve our overall operational efficiency. Your support in this initiative is invaluable, and we sincerely hope that you will consider how you can contribute to making this vision a reality.
May the Lord bless you abundantly and guide you in your decisions as you contemplate how best to support this important cause. Your thoughtful prayers and generous contributions can truly make a significant difference in the lives of many individuals and families who are in need. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, contributes to a larger movement of hope and healing in our community. We are deeply grateful for your consideration and generosity, and we recognize the impact that your support can have on those who rely on our efforts for assistance and encouragement. Together, we can create a brighter future for those who are struggling, and your involvement is crucial to this mission.
May the Lord keep you safe and be gracious to you in all your endeavors, and may His countenance shine upon you, bringing you peace and shalom in every aspect of your life.
