Urgent Appeal for Support: Help ONMI Reach the Finish Line of Summer 2024

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua, I hope this message finds you well in Yeshua. I am writing this ONMI news report as a dire appeal to you, our donors, and prayer partners to push us through the finish line of summer 2024, which comes with severe shortages in funding and fundraising. As we speak, we are behind by $30,000. We need to close the gap before the end of this month. Your support has been central to ONMI’s ability to keep on going for the past 31 years.

Urgent Call to Sustain ONMI's Vision and Goals

Therefore, I appeal to you to keep the momentum to help ONMI keep pressing ahead with all the fundamental changes that have been going on since January 2024 to regain its vision and goal of sustainability. We need all hands on the deck.

The challenges that ONMI is facing are not unique in the world of non-profit organizations. Many entities struggle with financial constraints, particularly during times of economic uncertainty. The $40,000 deficit that ONMI is currently facing represents a significant obstacle that must be overcome swiftly to ensure the organization's continued operation.

The Vital Impact of Your Support on ONMI's Mission

The impact of your contributions cannot be overstated. Over the past three decades, the support from donors and prayer partners has been instrumental in sustaining ONMI's mission and activities. Your generosity has enabled the organization to make a difference in the lives of those it serves, and now, more than ever, your continued support is crucial to help ONMI navigate through these challenging times.

Embracing Transformation: Ensuring ONMI's Sustainable Future

The changes that ONMI has been undergoing since January 2024 signify a period of transformation and renewal aimed at enhancing the organization's long-term sustainability. Your involvement in this journey is vital to ensure that ONMI's vision and goal can adapt to the ever-shifting landscape of non-profit charity work and continue to fulfill its mission effectively.

Join Us in Closing the Funding Gap and Supporting ONMI's Mission

As we approach the end of summer 2024, I urge you to consider how you can contribute to closing the funding gap and supporting ONMI's ongoing efforts. Your partnership is invaluable, and together, we can help ONMI overcome its current financial challenges and emerge stronger than ever. Let's come together as a community of faith and generosity to ensure that ONMI can continue its vital work for years to come.

Urgent Call for Financial Support to Overcome Funding Deficit and Operational Challenges

Your financial support is crucial at this moment to assist us in overcoming the funding deficit we faced during June and July, as we transition into August. Our dedicated team in South Sudan is fully aligned with ONMI's vision and mission for sustainability, and they are working tirelessly to implement it effectively. However, they are currently facing a challenging situation as our primary tractor is out of commission during this critical period in July and August, coinciding with the rainy season. This setback threatens to disrupt our operations at a time when we cannot afford any delays. Your support now is more important than ever as we strive to seize the opportunities that lie ahead and ensure that our projects continue to make a positive impact in the community.

The Shift Towards Sustainable Living: A Pivotal Moment for ONMI

The decision to remove the previous administration, which had focused on maintaining relief dependence rather than fostering sustainable living with USA funding, marked a pivotal moment for ONMI. The organization hailed this shift away from stagnation towards long-term sustainability as a significant and necessary change.

Therefore, we must keep up with the sweeping changes in ONMI's new leadership term, the restructuring, and the leadership team.

Specifically, there is a dire need for funding to keep up with ONMI’s agricultural initiatives for food security in the long term. We have only one tractor that has been overworked due to many demands. The tractor has been incurring mechanical failure that demands constant repair. Could you please help us with $3000 for tractor repair.

Empowering Agricultural Sustainability: ONMI's Bold Initiative at Beth Israel Farmland

Commencing with the arrival of the rainy season in 2024, the agricultural team at ONMI took a bold step forward by initiating a large-scale project to cultivate the vast expanse of land at the Beth Israel farmland. This strategic decision was made with the primary objective of elevating agricultural productivity levels and fortifying food security measures within the region. The team exhibited unwavering dedication as they meticulously sowed a diverse array of food crops, underscoring their unwavering commitment to sustainable agricultural practices.

Furthermore, recognizing the challenges posed by water scarcity during the dry season, ONMI made a substantial investment in the implementation of a cutting-edge drip irrigation system. This forward-thinking approach not only serves to combat the adverse effects of inadequate rainfall but also empowers ONMI to engage in year-round cultivation activities.

Advancing Agricultural Yields Through Technology and Sustainable Water Management

Through the integration of advanced technology and environmentally conscious water management strategies, the organization is steadfast in its pursuit to amplify agricultural yields and mitigate potential losses incurred during prolonged periods of drought.

As a result of these proactive measures, ONMI stands at the forefront of agricultural innovation, setting a benchmark for sustainable farming practices that not only ensure food security but also contribute to the long-term resilience and prosperity of the local farming community.

Enhancing Farming Operations at Beth Israel Farmland: Essential Equipment Needs

As part of their ongoing efforts to optimize farming operations, ONMI has identified specific equipment needs to further enhance their capabilities. These include a complete disc plow, four new tires, and a disc plough, with an estimated cost of approximately $3,000. Acquiring these essential tools will not only streamline agricultural activities but also contribute to the long-term sustainability and success of the farming project at Beth Israel farmland.

Empowering ONMI's Polytechnic Institute Through Essential Support

ONMI's Polytechnic Institute is flourishing thanks to your support and encouragement. The students are eager to acquire the technical skills essential for securing employment post-graduation in December 2024. The institute is tackling several challenges, with the primary one being the completion of the toilet facilities for the boys' and girls' dormitories. These students are on scholarships. ONMI needs to raise $15,000 within the next two terms.

The Bethlehem Nursery and Primary School is also performing exceptionally well. The students are engaged and making significant strides in their studies, demonstrating remarkable progress and commitment to their education.

Join ONMI's Sustainability Initiative and Shape a Better Future

With your support, I hope that ONMI's sustainability efforts will inspire you. I hope you will consider backing ONMI's renewed sustainability management initiative. Aiding those in need can positively impact shaping a better future for everyone. The budget for July is $80,000.

US office - $25,000. South Sudan Office- $15, 000. Polytechnic Institute- $15,000, Bethlehem Nursery & Primary Academy - $15,000, Various Projects - $10,000.

Support Needed for South Sudan Trip and ONMI's Water Source Restoration

Please pray for my upcoming trip to South Sudan in August for three weeks. This fund will help us manage the work here in the USA and in the field during the time I will be traveling away from the main office.  We want to thank you for helping ONMI fix the damage that was caused by vandalism against ONMI's water source at NTC 97.3 FM at the Yerushalayim Summit on Gordon Mt.
